Description
This is a kitchen tool used to make spiral potato chips, creating a twisted, “tornado” shape.
The kit typically includes:
Spiral cutter: The yellow plastic component with a threaded end used to cut the potato into a continuous spiral.
Four stainless steel skewers: These are inserted through the center of the potato to hold it in place while cutting and to maintain its shape during cooking.
Lock handle: A white plastic piece with screws used to firmly grip the potato and rotate it against the cutter.
How to use the cutter:
Prepare: Insert one of the metal skewers through the center of the potato.
Assemble: Slide the yellow spiral cutter onto the skewer.
Hold: Press the white, pointed handle at the end of the potato to hold it firmly.
Cut: Rotate the handle to push the potato through the yellow cutter, creating a long, continuous spiral.
Finish: After cutting, unfold the potato spiral along the skewer; it’s now ready to fry or bake.
